I was pleased to have the opportunity this month to attend ABTA’s ‘Delivering Sustainable Tourism’ conference.

There were excellent presentations on a wide range of sustainability topics affecting the tourism industry, from over-tourism to rewilding projects.

I was particularly interested in the panel discussion with Anke Winchenbach, where Anke discussed the Social aspects of sustainability, or the “S” in ESG.

The afternoon included small group sessions which enabled some very interesting discussions amongst the conference attendees on selected topics.
